Simpler Verifications

If your school requires third-party verifications for your service hours to be "counted", you have undoubtedly come across a situation where that person is not reachable for some reason or another.

  • The student does not have their contact information (or they had the wrong contact info originally)
  • The verifier cannot find the email or text message
  • The verifier is not very tech savvy

In all of these cases, a school admin might have other ways of confirming that the service has been completed.

  • The student is very trustworthy
  • There are photos of the student at the volunteer event

Previously, 7works required there to always be a verification. This caused extra work for the school admins ranging from confusion to manual workarounds.

New Policy

From now on, any Service Hour that is approved is "counted" toward that student's goal - no matter if it was verified or not. A school can choose to only approve verified service hours if they like, or they can choose to only require verification in specific cases. This change makes 7works simpler, easier to use, and easier to admin.
